Electroplated Parts

Decorative plating on parts are not warranted. The decorative plating is a very thin color coating and can easily be destroyed by exposure to a salt mist or an exterior environment. Also, plating can be destroyed by rubbing or abrading the surface while cleaning, or in other ways.

Clean with mild non-abrasive soap or ammonia and water only. Carefully wipe dry with a very soft cloth as plating is very soft and can be easily polished away. We recommend 3M® micro-fiber cloths for cleaning.

NEVER use automotive wheel cleaners, polishing compounds, or buffing agents on gold plated items. They can quickly destroy gold plating.
