Plastic Bushings

Plastic bushings have natural low friction characteristics and high wear resistance. They are not affected by salt water or mild soaps, but we recommend that bearings and spindles be wiped with a clean cloth regularly. This removes the dirt or salt buildup that could reduce the smooth operation and cause unnecessary jamming or wear. If absolutely necessary, lubricate with a silicon or teflon product like Super Lube or any another non-petroleum lubricant. Do not use petroleum based oils or greases like WD-40, and petroleum jelly as they can cause the plastic bearing to swell changing critical dimensions and subsequently resulting in poor performance.
