Plastic Bushings
Plastic bushings have natural low friction characteristics and a high-wear resistance. They are not affected by salt water or mild soaps, but we recommend that bearings and spindles be wiped with a clean cloth regularly. This removes the dirt or salt buildup that could reduce the smooth operation and cause unnecessary jamming or wear. If absolutely necessary lubricate with a silicon or teflon product like Super Lube or any another non-petroleum lubricant. Do not use petroleum based oils or greases, like WD-40, petroleum jelly, and many greases, as they can cause the plastic bearing to swell causing a change in critical dimensions and subsequently result in poor performance. |
